Party Time

Last weekend was the 50th wedding anniversary of
Greg's parents, Dean and Eunice.
What a pleasure to celebrate with them and what an
honor to be part of their story.

Scott and his family wrote new lyrics to the tune of

"A few of my favorite things"
and related it to spending time with Grandma and Grandpa.

John sang two songs, one written for his Mom
the other for his Dad.

St. Patrick's Day

While running errands with me today,
my silly hoodlums flashed these faces to
pedestrians and people in cars.
They made a lot of people smile. :)

Alexa prompted me to make rainbow cupcakes.
She saw this idea online.
My friend Kelsey also makes these.
Fun, fun, fun.
And pretty!!!

Valentines Day 2011

I heart my VaLeNtInEs!!
All three of them!

Our Valentines Day was FAB!
Cozy, Fun, Togetherness!
I bought real simple things for the
kids that they would appreciate and put them
in a cute box.
I borrowed an idea from a friend a few years ago.....
making up a treasure hunt of hints that leads them
to their Valentine package.
We did it that one year and now it can't be any other way. :)

I used a nice tablecloth and lit candles for dinner. :)
We will do this more often I decided and
not just on Valentines Day.

Alexa gave Greg and I a LOVELY note.
An absolute keepsake. :)

Lately

Above you see what I have called my favorite picture from
our little vacation at Sunriver.
These girl cousins are a JOY to my heart.
I adore watching them interact in their girly way,
looking out for one another, encouraging the other,
laughing, playing, singing......it is a precious bond to witness!!

This is a year long project....a photo a day, all year.
Have wanted to participate in this for a few years and for some reason,
this year I felt the urge to jump in.
So far, so good. I'm excited to see the year in review and
to better learn my camera and improve my photography skillls.
Although my main motivation is to document my days,
my family.....my life this year.

Today I attended one of several planning meetings we've
had for our annual Ladies Retreat at church.
It's scheduled for March.
Our theme is 'Masquerade: Unveiling the Authentic You'
Great ladies to plan with!!
Maybe next time I'll take their picture!

This afternoon Greg and I took the kids to see this!!!
Our family gives it......8 thumbs up!!
Splendid!!

Lastly, both of my sweet baboo children
have decided to start posting meaningful bible verses
around the house where they will see them daily.
Love my sweet baboo children.
So thankful they know Jesus and it's encouraging to see them
making little or big steps in their individual walks Him.
